For example, if you are doing engraving, circuit board repair, cellphone repair, watch repair, or soldering, you may need a 0.5x bottom Barlow lens on your stereo microscope head to increase the working distance. This gives you more precious distance to get your hands and soldering tools under the head. It also has an effect on the overall magnification. You may also need the trinocular microscope head that allows video equipment or USB cameras to be connected for digital video or digital still jpg image capture.
